Senior Roadway CADD Designer
LTG is currently seeking a full-time position for an experienced Senior Roadway CADD Designer for our Ormond Beach, Florida corporate office to provide roadway design and plans production under the direction and supervision of a Senior PE Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Development and production of detailed roadway design & construction drawings in MicroStation and AutoCAD / Civil 3D. Strong Emphasis on 3D capabilities, speed and accuracy.
- Development of horizontal and vertical geometry. Preparation of plan and profile sheets, typical sections, roadway cross sections, drainage plans, maintenance of traffic plans, and utility adjustment plans.
- Prepare electronic delivery of FDOT Final Plans and FDOT CADD Compliant design files.
- Calculate typical roadway plans quantities, including areas, earthwork volumes, drainage structures, pavement markings and signal items etc. Commensurate with civil engineering and roadway design as well as preparation of data required for roadway, utility, and storm water design.
- Perform field investigations and inspections and evaluate existing conditions on roadway, signing, and pavement marking.
- Meet scheduled milestones and quality benchmarks on assigned projects and tasks.
- Assist with proposal preparation and Letters of Interest (LOI).
- Perform other duties the supervisor may deem necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of current, progressive roadway design and plans production experience with significant major highway, interchange and urban roadway design services to public sector clients.
- Minimum Associate Degree, in Engineering or related field with strong emphasis in Mathematics, or extensive current experience, required.
- Strong, current proficiency with MicroStation Open Roads, AutoCAD and Civil 3D design platforms and software, FDOT design applications, SS4.
- FDOT project experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Motivated, self-starting individual that aspires to work in a team environment.
- Strong personal organizational and time management skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to schedule work to meet deadlines.

- Candidates with a PE license from another state will be required to obtain their FL PE license by Endorsement within their 90-day probationary period.
- Proficiency with MicroStation Open Roads, AutoCAD and Civil 3D design platforms and software, MS Office (especially Excel), and FDOT design applications.
- Understanding of roadway and traffic operations, design principles and familiarity with pertinent national, state, local (preferred), and industry standards.
- Must have excellent grammar, spelling, and technical writing skills.
