Position Overview
LTG, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Transportation to lead and deliver traffic engineering projects throughout Florida. This position plays a key role in providing high-quality technical design, regulatory compliance, and project management for public- and private-sector clients, with a strong focus on FDOT standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Analysis
- Lead and prepare traffic studies, intersection analyses, and engineering plans in compliance with:
- FDOT standards
- Florida Design Manual (FDM)
- Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM)
- Perform:
- Capacity and operational analysis using Synchro, VISSIM, and HCS
- Signal timing optimization
- Safety evaluations
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all designs comply with:
- MUTCD
- AASHTO
- FDOT standards, including FDM and TEM
Quality Assurance
- Review and validate engineering calculations, plans, and technical reports
- Conduct field visits for data collection, construction support, and inspections
- Serve as Engineer of Record as required
Project Management
- Manage traffic and transportation engineering projects from concept through completion
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal project teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Experience: 3–5 years of transportation or traffic engineering experience, preferably on FDOT projects
- Licensure: Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Synchro, VISSIM, and HCS
- Strong working knowledge of FDOT standards, FDM, and TEM
- Professional Skills:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control

Position Overview
LTG, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Analyst to support our Traffic Operations team. This entry-level to early-career position focuses on analyzing traffic patterns, conducting operational studies, and supporting transportation projects that improve roadway safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a collaborative consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic operations studies, including:
- Traffic Impact Studies (TIS)
- Corridor and intersection analyses
- Traffic signal warrant studies
- Safety and operational studies
- Perform traffic analysis and simulation modeling using Synchro and Highway Capacity Software (HCS).
- Review, analyze, and process traffic data such as:
- Turning movement counts
- Daily machine counts
- Crash history
- Signal timing data
- Forecast future travel demand using FDOT procedures, population growth estimates, approved projects, and historical trends.
- Estimate trip generation, trip distribution, and evaluate internal site circulation.
- Conduct field investigations to assess:
- Roadway operations
- Signage, pavement markings, and traffic signals
- Multimodal access, lane geometry, and driver behavior
- Support project managers by coordinating with internal teams and external consultants via meetings, phone calls, email, and Microsoft Teams.
- Meet assigned project schedules and quality control requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline
- Experience:
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with Synchro and HCS
- Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus
- Professional Skills:
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification or plans to obtain within six months
- OR American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification
