LTG, Inc is an established, but growing engineering and planning firm. We provide consulting services to diverse clientele including federal, state, county, city and private entities. Our primary services include traffic engineering, traffic analysis, roadway design, transportation planning, and land use planning functions.
Anticipated Opening Spring/Summer 2019
Entry Level Civil Engineering
LTG is anticipating the need to hire 1-2 entry level civil engineering grads in the Spring or Summer 2019, to provide traffic operations, traffic engineering, and transportation planning services. The potential candidates will be located in either or our corporate headquarters in Ormond Beach, Florida; or our satellite office in West Melbourne, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Traffic operations analyses such as traffic impact studies, corridor studies, intersection analyses, and safety studies.
- Development of conceptual traffic engineering designs such as signing and pavement markings, lighting, ITS, and traffic signals.
- Perform traffic operations analysis, traffic simulation modeling and traffic forecasting.
- Prepare plans, specifications and inspection reports.
- Calculate quantity estimates in connection with the traffic aspects of road construction.
- Perform field investigations and inspections and evaluate existing conditions on signing, pavement marking, traffic signals, ITS, and lighting.
- Meet schedule milestones and quality benchmarks on assigned projects and tasks.
- Phone calls, emails, conference calls, meetings, reports, as needed in effort to assist the Project Manager and/or meet the needs of our clients.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager and/or leadership, in order to meet the needs of our clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline required.
- Registered FL EI highly preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be detail oriented, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently or on a team with minimal supervision.
- Committed to quality assessment and quality control procedures.
- Ability to form and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Experience with SYNCHRO, HCS and other related software preferred.
- Experience with design software (AutoCAD, MircroStation) would be a plus.

Student Interns

Specifically, traffic operations analyses such as: traffic impact studies, corridor studies, intersection analyses, and safety studies; and traffic engineering designs such as: signing and pavement markings, lighting, ITS, and traffic signals.

- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred, but will consider other related disciplines.
